corporate education liaison
University of Phoenix
2009-2013
My primary focus was building partnerships with business leaders to bring higher education to their current workforce to increase the pool of employees with the required education to promote from within, thereby increasing their bench-strength. I uncovered employment training needs for my business partners, developed specialized curriculum, coordinated meetings, taught training sessions, and reported training outcomes. I would also identify, prospect, and qualify new client opportunities with prospective corporate clients, develop and present educational solutions to senior level executives, and increase positive awareness of the University in the community. I conducted informational sessions for potential students, participated in partner-sponsored activities, and recruited potential students. I leveraged the CRM tool to quantify daily activities and exceed my goals.

I held technology workshops on digital photography, graphic design, and storage media. I also taught classes for software applications that included PageMaker (now Adobe InDesign) and Photoshop. I taught Photoshop at an annual yearbook camp at Stanford University and University of the Pacific during the summer months.

My Boys: Rocco & Bo
Family
My three sons are grown. They will forever be my proudest accomplishment. The oldest is a firefighter and was recently promoted to Captain, my middle son was in the Air Force with the Defense Logistics Agency before entering the civilian field. My youngest is finishing his last year at Arizona State University.
Home
I enjoy spending time in my garden growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables. I feed the resident hummingbirds, scrubjays, mockingbirds, and magpies. I enjoy home DIY projects, woodworking, and especially enjoy using my power tools. I would love to learn how to weld someday.
Travel
I enjoy visiting new places and learning about different cultures. I travel to visit family in San Diego as often as possible. I love the beaches and the mountains. I like the places that aren't crowded tourist destinations. One of my favorite things is taking in a sunset in a different place. Because I have both UK and US citizenship, I look forward to spending time in the UK.
